Meet The Staff
Pam Barker— I’ve learned so much about chiropractic over the last 10 years. It’s so amazing how your body heals when it’s given optimum conditions. Your body has its own ‘operating system’ which is sometimes referred to as ‘innate intelligence.’ You breathe without having to think about it, the blood flows through your veins, your heart beats, your body heals, all without a conscious thought.Your spinal cord carries information from your brain to every other part of your body, and from your body back to your brain. Chiropractic is so important to maintain your spine so your body can properly do all it’s supposed to do! It’s so great to see people get chiropractic care and see the changes that take place, changes that make their lives better. Pam is married to Dr. Barker and has been working at Portland Chiropractic for 11 years. She grew up in
Melissa Alley— I was born and raised in Columbus, GA. Ten years ago I moved to Tennessee where I met and married Josh, the love of my life. We have three sons, Trenton, Colton, and Blake, and our daughter, Cara. Josh is an Army National Guardsman and is very proud to serve our country. We are extremely proud of him and his unit. My family and I stay busy with school and recreational activities.
I had been in the medical field for a few years and decided I needed a change. After being a stay-at-home mom and helping Josh run his business for a few months, I came to work for Dr. Barker. I did not realize how thrilling it would be to learn about chiropractic care. I have already learned so much and have benefited from the treatments, nutrition, and knowledge. My family and I have become so much healthier and more involved in our health care decisions. It has truly made a great difference in all aspects of our lives.
Tipper-I’m the official greeter at Portland Chiropractic! I’m a Border Collie and I love to play…..frisbee, ball, soccer….anything involving chase! I like to entertain the children, and adults, that come in to see me. One of my jobs at home involves herding the cats and keeping them from doing things they’re not supposed to do.
