Ear Infections

Otitis Media or Ear Infection is a primary concern for the parents of many children. There are many causes of red ears, other than a bacterial infection.

These include allergies, teething, fever, and viral infection, among other causes. In all of these cases, antibiotics are not indicated. In fact, the Government recommends that antibiotics not be the first line of treatment because of drug resistant diseases and higher rates of recurrence.
